Town Board Special Meeting Minutes

September 30, 2026

 

ATTENDANCE:

Supervisor Jason Spellicy Councilwoman Mary Beth McEwen

Councilman Darrin Smith Councilman Doug Jordan

Town Clerk Carol Huber Councilman Theodore Learned

 

CALL TO ORDER:

Supervisor Spellicy called the meeting to order at 6:15 pm. Followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.

 

TENTATIVE BUDGET:

Supervisor Spellicy noted that the tax levy for the Town is at $5,000, no increase. The Town has added in value eleven million dollars this year.

 

Town Clerk, Carol Huber, handed out the Tentative Budget to the Town Board. Along with the budget is a letter to read from Dominic Maggio, Senior Citizens of Sylvan Beach/Vienna, budget breakdown for Programs for Aging and Celebrations, and the Holiday schedule with actual Holiday dates and observed Federal dates to look over for 2027.

EXECUTIVE SESSION:

Supervisor Spellicy made a motion to enter into executive session at 6:18 pm to discuss personnel matters/contract negotiations and Councilman Smith seconded the motion.

Supervisor Spellicy made a motion to return from executive session at 6:45 pm and Councilwoman Smith seconded the motion.

ADJOURNMENT: Supervisor Spellicy made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 6:46 pm and Councilman Smith seconded the motion and all were in favor.
