TOV Zoning Board of Appeals (ZBA) Organizational Meeting
January 30, 2024

Call to order: ZBA Member Amanda Hewitt called the meeting to order at 6:32 pm

Attendance:

ZBA Members: Amanda Hewitt, Joshua O'Kay, Michael Taylor, and Nathan Juby.

John Pavelock was unable to attend.

Others: Secretary Kathy Pavelock. Liaison Darrin Smith and Zoning/Codes Officer Reay Walker were unable to attend.

Minutes Approval:

Mike Taylor made a motion to approve the minutes for the August 23, 2023 ZBA Special Meeting. Seconded by Nate Juby. Poll Vote: Josh O' Kay - Aye, Amanda Hewitt-Aye, John Pavelock - Absent, Mike Taylor - Aye, Nate Juby - Aye. Motion Carried.

Correspondence:

Secretary Pavelock summarized the correspondence since the last ZBA meeting including:

• Received the 2024 Local Government Conference (LGC) flyer.

• Updated the ZBA 2024 Contact list.

  Town Council appointments

  • 2024 ZBA Chairman is John Pavelock.

  • 2024 ZBA Secretary is Kathy Pavelock.

  • John Pavelock was re-appointed to the ZBA with a term of2024-2028.

ZBA Vice-chairman

The ZBA discussed the need to appoint a vice chairman due to the work schedule of 2024 Chairman, John Pavelock. Josh O'Kay made a motion to appoint Amanda Hewitt as the ZBA Vice-chairman. Seconded by Nate Juby.

Poll Vote: Josh O'Kay - Aye, Amanda Hewitt - Aye, John Pavelock - Absent, Mike Taylor - Aye, Nate Juby - Aye. Motion Carried.

Local Government Conference

Secretary Pavelock will coordinate the registrations for ZBA members interested in attending this conference on May 2, 2024 at Turning Stone. The entire ZBA is interested in attending.

Josh O'Kay made a motion to adjourn, seconded by Mike Taylor. All in favor; Motion Carried a,, t 7:00 PM.
